Background
The Somerville is a luxurious, 5 star boutique hotel situated on the beautiful South Devon coastline. Offering a quality product to both leisure and business travellers, the Somerville wanted to upgrade their online marketing to spread awareness of their offering to the target market.

Project Brief
Following considerable investment in the accommodation on offer, the owners of the Somerville wanted to create a striking and cutting edge website that reflected the standard of accommodation on offer and appealed to the target market

To set it apart from competitor websites, the Somerville's new site was the first in the area to utilise integrated video technology to give guests a taste of waht they can expect on their holiday. In addition to showcasing the luxury accommodation on offer at the Somerville, guests can enjoy a detailed insight into the English Riviera through the sections showcasing many of the attractions and activities on offer in Torbay.

The Outcome

The launch of the new market-leading website operating within a wider marketing structure resulted in the Somerville being shortlisted for a national marketing award. The HRS Excellent Awards attracts hundreds of national entries and the Somerville is one of five finalists, with the winner announced in February 2009.

The new website was visited by over 5000 people within the first two months of its launch and resulted in a substantial increase in online bookings.
